Welcome to Josimah Baby Bank, we source and distribute basic items for babies and children up to 5 years. Founded in August 2021 to help to alleviate poverty, and give every child the best start in life.
The pandemic had a great impact on many families and some are still struggling to come back on their feet. Not being able to claim from the government due to their immigration status, unemployment or low wages also has a great impact on some families.

Parenting
Becoming a new parent is hard enough without the worry of not being able to provide for your new bundle of joy. At Josimah baby bank, we help source pre-loved baby items for these families because we believe every child matters and deserve the best start in life.
As well as providing items for babies we are aware of how much pregnant ladies need essentials too, which is why we also offer a maternal hospital pack and emergency baby pack for pre-term babies or emergency deliveries.
Baby Clothing
All items given to us must be safe and fit for purpose. Our guidelines are based on those of government guidelines and British Standard Guidelines.
Baby Bath Tub
We check all items before giving them out to our families. If they don’t meet our standards and those set by government legislation we will not accept them.
Baby Trolley
All prams, buggies and other travel systems must meet specific criteria set by trading standard guidelines. They must be safe and fit for purpose.
What We Do
We collect new and excellent quality pre-loved donations of clothes, toys, and equipment suitable for babies and children up to the age of five from members of the public and organisations. These items are then gifted to families dealing with challenging circumstances like homelessness, unemployment, low income or fleeing domestic violence who are unable to afford the extra cost of having children.
We ensure that all items are cleaned, and carry out safety checks to ensure items are safe, hygienic, and suitable. If monetary donations are received, they will go towards the purchase of brand-new items that cannot be donated. These items include (but are not limited to) Moses Baskets, mattresses, car seats, nappies, baby toiletries etc.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make it easy and convenient to help each other thrive and blossom in our community through the donation of pre-loved items. Encouraging people to donate their pre-loved baby items still in good condition so they are given a second life instead of disposing of them.
We also aim to promote safe sleeping by providing a Moses basket or sleeping aid with a mattress to new families who do not have one.

Families are encouraged to drop off donations of baby and toddler clothes, toys and equipment such as cots by getting in touch at [email protected] to arrange a drop off time.
We will assess what you intend to donate and get your consent on the use of the items. Once both parties are happy, a link would be sent to you to book your drop off slot. Please see our donations policy.
